Tirunelveli Banana Farmers Producer Company [BAPCO] - Project introduction and Farmers interested Group Interaction meeting was held at KP Samy Campus, Keela Kattalai, Tirunelveli on 18th January 2016. Deans from Horticultural and Agricultural Colleges, AGM of NABARD, Chairman of TN Banana Growers’ Federation, ADA and other Officials from Dept. of Agriculture, Coordinator of KVK, Exporters, Producers/Famers from Tirunelveli Dt. and many others were participated and graced the programme.

Dr. K.N. Shiva, Principal Scientist, ICAR-NRCB delivered a guest lecture on “Post-harvest Management and Value Addition in Banana: Scope and Opportunities”, which attracted lot interactions among the farming community and other officials gathered in the meeting. Mr. M. Balasubramanian, ADA, Alwarthirunagari, Tirunelveli coordinated the programme.
