The 9th International Day of Yoga was observed at ICAR National Research Centre for Banana, Trichy. On this occasion, Dr. R. Selvarajan, Director, ICAR NRCB, briefed about the theme of this 9th International Yoga Day and said that it emphasizes the health of every individual through yoga practice and regular practice boosts up the immune system and thereby helps in maintenance of good health. Special guest Dr. R.Sugumar, Shri Jayarangha Nature Cure Hospital, Trichy, created awareness about Yoga which establishes harmony between body and mind, leading to a healthy and disease-free life
Dr.Sugumar, along with his team of yoga trainers, briefed about the benefits of almost 26 ashanas and made a live demo which was followed by the staff of the institute with great contentment
