  1. Survey, etiology and management of rhizome rot of banana (PI).
  2. Management of post harvest diseases of banana (PI)
  3. Integrated management of Fusarium wilt disease (Foc R1) in traditional varieties of  banana (Co.PI)
  4. Organic banana farming for sustainable soil health and nutritional security (Co. PI).
  5. Biointensive management of major insect pests of banana (Co.PI)
  6. Molecular approaches to understand the host-virus-vector-environment interactions and the management of banana viruses (Co. PI).
  7. Eco-friendly management of banana pseudostem weevil and banana scarring beetle (Co.PI)
  8. Assessment of carbon sequestration, energy budgeting, biodiversity, and production potential of three different banana production ecosystems of tropical climate

Current External Projects:
  1. Artificial Intelligence (AI) powered decision support system development for leaf spot disease management in banana (PI).
  1. Developed the effective bioformulation(s) for management of rhizome rot disease and yield enhancement in banana
  2. Characterized rhizome rot pathogens infecting banana
  3. Developed a customized model for quick bioassay for rhizome rot disease of banana.
  4. Associated in characterization and management of Fusarium wilt of banana.
  5. Associated in identification resistant sources in banana germplasm accessions resistant to major diseases and pests.
  6. Characterized the potential microbes for major insect pests of banana.
  7. Associated in development of package for organic based banana cultivation
  8. Identified novel germplasm lines resistance to anthracnose disease of chilli, and rust, powdery mildew and downy mildew diseases of pea.
  9. Developed Trichoderma sp., and Bacillus subtilis based bio-formulations for the management of soil borne fungal pathogens infecting vegetables.
  10. Characterized early blight pathogen infecting tomato in Northern India.
  11. Registered two genetic stocks of garden pea resistant to multiple diseases.
  12. Worked out bio-efficacy and safety limit of combined fungicides applied against anthracnose disease of chilli and early blight disease of tomato.
  13. Standardized a protocol for regeneration of soybean (Glycine max L. Merrill) through direct somatic embryogenesis from the immature embryonic shoot tip.
  14. Developed pyramided transgenic elite Indica rice cultivars resistance to sheath blight and bacterial blight diseases.
  15. A software intended to guide the stakeholders about the cashew diseases was developed and obtained copyright (No SW-15907/2022)
