ICAR-National Research Centre for Banana has participated in the South Zone- Agri Expo-2015, Small Farmers Friendly Agriculture Technologies, Conference & Exhibition from 19-21st Dec. 2015 RARS, Lam Farm, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, organized by ANGRAU, Lam Farm, Guntur. Hon’ble Agriculture Minister, Andhra Pradesh Shri. P. Pulla Rao inaugurated the Exhibition. Dr. A. Padma Raju, Vice Chancellor, ANGRAU and other dignitaries visited ICAR-NRCB stall and appreciated the efforts for bringing various value added products and production technologies to show cause to the farmers of Andhra Pradesh. Over the three days, more than 2500 farmers, entrepreneurs, college and diploma students visited our stall and many were interested to know the technical know-how for making various produces from banana and its by products. Various crop production technologies were also appreciated by the farmers. Dr. V. Praveen Rao, facilitated ICAR-NRCB as it was the only organization outside Andhra Pradesh participated in the Mega Event with appreciation certificate and Memento for its participation.
